Spherion Staffing is interviewing candidates for a Production Specialist position in Tea, SD. The production Specialist maintains production and sanitary conditions by removing product from conveyor, inspecting product, hand packing into cartons, and performing described duties below.
Responsibilities:

-Ensure that product is free from contamination by following rules of good manufacturing practices for disease control, personal practices, and uniform policy
-Ensure product protection by checking package integrity for good seals, bag appearance, bag registration, code date, print, color, holes, scratches
-Ensure product quality by inspecting the packed product for defects
-Ensure good manufacturing procedures (GMP) by following housekeeping standards
-Follow personal good manufacturing practices
-Work in a team to pack product by assembling boxes, taking sealed bags of product off automated conveyor line, taping boxes; pull sealed cases off packaging lines; or filling kegs and placing lids on containers
-Stack sealed cases on skids according to stacking procedures under product pallet patterns and diagrams
-Recognize problems; and/or alerts machine operator according to standard procedures
