The Production Manager will lead the paint manufacturing operations at our Rockledge, Florida plant. In this role, you will meet or exceed the production forecast to ensure company goals are achieved. The ideal candidate will have a track record of significant production achievements, tremendous drive, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.Responsibilities:- Drive manufacturing team to achieve established targets for daily production goals and on-time shipments.- Development and continuous improvement of key shop metrics.- Maintain high product quality and manufacturing yield.- Interact with quality management team to correct, contain, and resolve quality concerns to sure timely turnaround and accuracy of batches.- Management of inventory including raw materials, containers, and janitorial supplies.- Manage waste generation and coordinate disposal timing and logging of same.- Coordinate with marketing for timely label generation to meet the needs of production.- Oversee the semi-annual inventory cycle count of raw materials and packaging items.- Ensure appropriate preventative maintenance systems are in place and appropriate actions are taken to maintain the facility in good operating condition.- Make countermeasures for timely completion of project goals.- Ensure consistency in standards and documentation. Monitor and ensure compliance.- Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost,efficiency, and productivity objectives.- Enforce proper material management procedures.Skills:- Able to efficiently and effectively identify and correct chemical quality issues- Can supervise employees to enhance production and minimize conflict- Demonstrable knowledge of paint production equipmentQualifications:- Engineering degree or equivalent experience. Experience in the production and processing of paint and coatings desirable.- 5 years related manufacturing experience, 3+ years in a manufacturing or industrial manufacturing environment.- Chemical processing a must; Paint Coatings, Ink industry preferred.- Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimize efficiency.- Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines.- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.- A strong sense of urgency and commitment to ship products.
