???Lead structural design???Train, coach, or mentor members of the project team???Coordinate and communicate with Architects/Designers, Truss Manufacturers, MEP Trades, General Contractors, and Field Project Managers???Perform structural analysis of frame and masonry building components including foundations, wall and roof structures, evaluating loading cases???Support in the development of construction drawings and specifications???Prepares reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for the project. ???Attends meetings with coordinating parties to resolve structural complexities???Manage project schedules???Researches/Reviews code and permitting requirements for project sites.

--Must already have or can obtain an FL P.E. license within 3 months of employment--4 -8 years of experience related to structural/residential engineering work--Motivated to develop engineering leaders and evolve the engineering profession--Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASC, AISC, and ACI--Ability to communicate with all levels of professionals--Committed to providing exceptional client service and technical excellence--Experience with multiple structural design software--General knowledge of the construction industry--Working knowledge/experience with CAD drafting programs as well as structural design software and advanced Excel--Strong verbal, written, and communication skillsSupervisory ResponsibilitySupervisory responsibilities include working with junior engineers, providing academic training, guidance, mentoring, and overseeing concepts and calculations.Physical Demands / Work Environment--While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see. --Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position is sedentary while in the office and active in the field. --Field construction site visits require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds, such as a ladder. --Time is spent primarily sitting/standing in a climate-controlled office environment or shared office space.--Time is spent looking at a computer screen, keyboarding, and using a mouse.--Must make sure work aids are used that reduce eye strain, back trouble, and carpal tunnel syndrome.--Minimal construction site visits in natural outside environments are possible.
