Responsibilities:
As a Program Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless coordination of medical and psychosocial care for our valued members. Your responsibilities will include initiating authorization requests, conducting research on claims inquiries, and promoting member compliance. A typical day would include calling members to discuss quality measures, setting up appointments, and documenting the details of the call.
Key Responsibilities:
-- Initiate authorization requests for essential services.
-- Research claims inquiries specific to the department.
-- Monitor inpatient census and appointment schedules.
-- Screen members for eligibility and benefits.
-- Identify members in need of Case Management assessment.
-- Coordinate services with community-based organizations.
-- Produce and send routine program correspondence.
--- Accurately enter data into the system.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a managed care setting, medical office, or facility setting with a demonstrated ability to perform medical administration duties.
Skills:
-Thorough knowledge of customer service, utilization review, or claims processing practices in a managed care environment. Proficiency in operating office equipment such as a personal computer.

Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus and will be advantageous in this role.
