Spherion is hiring a long-term temporary Project Safety Coordinator to assist with a large expansion project, lead by one of Western North Carolina's leading manufacturing companies. The right candidate will have at least 1 to 3 years of safety leadership and planning experience, specifically within the construction industry.

This position is expected to extend from August 2023 to December 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project safety and security and monitor all federal, state, local, and internal compliance regulations.
- Integrate occupational health and safety standards and requirements in the project safety plan based on internal standards.
- Prepare project Safety Plan and maintain site instructions
- Coordinate and follow-up on project safety instructions, inspections and meetings.
- Record meeting minutes and other required documentation.
- Supervise and verify that all workers' and supervisors' activites are done in compliance with project safety specifications.
- Manage daily work permit procedure.
- Maintain daily manning summaries and safety KPIs
- Manage contractor Safety orientation and Training program.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Proficiency with computer systems is preferred
Experience in environmental health and compliance is preferred
Education:
Associate

1-4 years
Qualifications:
At least 1 to 3 years of safety leadership and planning experience is required, specifically within the construction industry
Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to enforce and regulate necessary actions to maintain compliance
Must be team-oriented centered in goal development and tracking
