      We have an immediate 2nd SHIFT OPENING for a Quality Technician at an excellent company in Clinton, SC. This is a TEMP-to-HIRE opportunity for a reliable, experienced Quality professional. Manufacturing experience and Quality experience is REQUIRED.Pay is $14.00/hour.Shift is 3:00pm-11:00am (will train on 2nd shift also)Responsibilities:Evaluating critical-to-quality characteristics for products and performing laboratory testing in support of manufacturing activities including sample preparation, instrument calibration & sample presentationEntering quality-related information into computer databases, preparing reports, certificates of analysis, charts and tables of quality trends and performance compliance of incoming materials, in-process and final product quality attributesSupporting manufacturing services with preparations of receiving reports, non-conformance reports, and certificates of compliance pertaining to product shipments, work-in-process and raw material inventoriesPerforming basic lab housekeeping duties on a routine basisInitiating corrective action requests and assisting process engineering in problem solving resolutionAssisting operational personnel with duties as needed in assuring delivery reliability and product qualityIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvement using Six Sigma toolsMonitoring process conditions, notifying production of possible process problems and documenting non-conforming products & conditionsMaintaining ISO documentation and performing internal audits on activities that effect that product qualityWorking hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PMSkills:N/AEducation:High SchoolExperience:0-1 yearsQualifications:Minimum of three (3) years quality assurance or similar work assignment in a manufacturing environment is required.HS diploma/GED required.Two-year Associates degree in relevant quality, engineering or other comparable professional training and certification is preferred.Knowledge of standard procedures and practices with the ability to read, interpret, explain and follow Company procedures and policies is required.Knowledge and facility of use and operation of personal computer interface is required. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes and Minitab programs is preferred.Ability to promote harmonious working relationships with Company staff and outside business representatives.Skill in communicating, in verbal and written form, both in customer service and vendor management.Skill in recording information accurately, neatly with minimal rework is required. Skill in compiling and reorganizing information is preferred.Attention to detail in all work and documentation is a must.Mechanical aptitude suitable to understand and execute instructions on simple adjustments, measurements and settings with laboratory equipment is required. Must be comfortable working around and with mechanical equipment in a safe and productive manner.Ability to lift and maneuver up to 20 lbs.
