-Installation and setup of new lab equipment-Research testing methodologies and make recommendations regarding equipment or new testing considerations-Define testing procedures and best practices to meet internal, customer and regulatory requirements-Maintain a standardization program for testing equipment and procedures across all facilities -Ensure all company sites are adequately supplied to perform testing successfully -Investigate testing discrepancies -Understand and explain to diverse audience the factors influencing a samples test results and potential actions that could be taken to have potential effect on desired outcome of tests-Identify trends in test results and notify mgmt. of any items of concern-Stop shipment when testing identifies issue-Communicate with Plant Quality Manager, Plant Supers and Ops team what is necessary for compliance with sampling & testing requirements as well as to resolve any responsibility/accountability situations between site QA and operations if they arise-Ensure all product (both internal produced as well as traded product) is receiving the necessary testing and that COAs are getting sent to customers in advance of them receiving their order -Proactively identify opportunities to increase operational efficiencies or strengthen Anchors lab & testing programs -Participate in SQF audit & audit prep-Train QA techs and scale operators on all testing procedures, including verification of competency-Conduct annual evaluations of company policies and procedures with other key members of the Food Safety Team to ensure adequacy and compliance with all applicable requirements as well as identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement-Oversee the team responsible for generating and sending out COAs-Train team on any updates or changes to the process as well as conduct re-trainings when needed-Communicate with Sales, Procurement, and other departments regarding potential issues with COAs or pending status of COAs, when necessary-Facilitate month end process by resolving any outstanding COA issues each month-Participate in projects aimed at automating the COA process-Work with IT to resolve any issues that may arise with technical components the data and reports used to generate the COAs-Monitor the auto-transfer of internal lab data to ERP-Ensure the COA document is generating properly and that all applicable results are pulling correctly
