- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process (including incoming inspection), and tests products for a variety of qualities such as visual, dimensional, performance, and mechanical characteristics.- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.- Documents and evaluates data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.- Capable of achieving production volume requirements.- Preservation of product cleanliness, to include final product preparation prior to inventory.- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.- Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
1-4 years
-Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred-Ability to exhibit sound judgment while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.-Identifies ways to improve and promote quality processes and efficiencies.-Proven ability to effectively communicate both orally and written with co-workers and management.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field preferred. Other equivalent education and relevant experience in a production/firearm facility will be considered. -Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and make data driven decisions. -Demonstrated experience utilizing, calibrating, and interpreting the results from a variety of inspection/measurement equipment. A few examples include: air-gaging, micrometers, calipers, depth and height gages, borescopes, etc.
