A well established law firm in the Naples are is directly hiring a Legal Assistant to join their busy and fast-paced real-estate law team. This firm is seeking candidates with knowledge and experience in processing and closing real estate purchases and sales. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized, and possess a strong work ethic. They also must have the ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
Understand real estate contracts and how to calculate deadlines under the contract.
Process real estate files including tracking deadlines, sending wire instructions and deposit verifications, and ordering title commitments, lien searches, permit searches, surveys, certificates of approval, payoffs, estoppels etc.
Verify wire instructions with appropriate parties prior to disbursement.
Responsible for filing and/or saving documents, preparing recordings, and keeping files organized.
Maintain written and verbal communication, as needed, with all parties involved in the transaction, including following up on all required items and emails, and answering phone calls from realtors and clients.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
Assist in closing coordination, including disbursing files after closing, sending checks to appropriate parties, returning loan packages to lender, and remitting FIRPTA forms to IRS.
Perform other duties as requested by paralegals or attorneys.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Familiarity with Adobe, eFiler, Excel, Simplifile, PC Law and Qualia Closing Software (Preferred).
2-5 years Real Estate legal assistant experience.
Strong Computer skills: Highly Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook (Required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills
