Spherion is seeking a Recruiter for Gladwin County, MI! This is a full-time position and hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday with a rotating on-call weekend (monitoring messages and voicemails). Training will take place in Midland and upon completion, employee will need to work in an independent and self-directed manner in Beaverton. The bulk of responsibilities with this position includes phone work, so employee must be comfortable making and receiving high-volume calls each day.

Responsibilities:
- Answering phones using standard Spherion greeting in a friendly and professional manner; identifying reason for calling; assisting with conducting pre-screening interviews, scheduling interviews, answering various questions and concerns about employment, etc.
- Scheduling appointments for interviews including adding them to the Google calendar and sharing with co-workers.
- Recruiting candidates for open positions using various systems and software: Spherion's software, Michigan Talent, Zip Recruiter, Career Builder, etc.
- Greeting visitors to the office and identifying their needs (arrived for an interview, looking for work, how to apply, other).
- Interviewing, taking sufficient notes based on information gathers, and determining whether candidates will fit Spherion's client base.
- Drug screening in-house for every candidate and conducting reference calls after each interview.
- Following hiring process according to Spherion and governmental standards, resolving hiring issues.
- Communicating with candidates and clients.
- Sending cards to employees as needed ("Congratulations" cards for being hired on, "Thank You" cards for referrals, etc.)
- Filling out employment verifications as they come through from DHS and various other sources.
- Scanning and faxing Child Support paperwork in a prompt manner.
- Filing of drug screens and various other paperwork in a regular and efficient manner.
- Maintaining an organized work space and office by removing/ shredding any unnecessary debris and paperwork that may contain applicant's personal information and putting everything else in its corresponding place.
- Attending job fairs and assisting with set-up or table or booth; interacting with job fair guest to educate them on the services that Spherion offers and gathering resumes for possible follow-up later.
- Conducting client site safety surveys as needed and directed with attention to possible hazards or prohibited tasks.
- Attending various client meetings to address staffing, issues, progress, planning, or various other needs as they arise.
- Taking client orders (including job title, description, hours, possibility for hire, length of position, dress code, timekeeping method, and pay rate), giving pricing information
Skills:
- A background in customer service, food service, or retail is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with MS Word & Excel
- Computer skills and the ability to learn company specific software programs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems
- Office grammar and spelling
