- Cockpit and avionics system design, simulator system design, circuit card design, integration and troubleshooting- Research and interpret aircraft and avionics manufacturer???s data in preparation for system and interface design- Design analog and digital electronic circuits to interface with cockpit and avionics systems- Perform operational, functional tests and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, avionics and aircraft systems components using specialized tools- Design and support serial data interfaces to advanced avionics- Directly interface with various FSI groups, vendors, site personnel, etc.- Create and maintain hardware documentation according to FSI standards- Create and maintain software documentation and interface specifications- Provide support during simulator test, hardware/software integration, discrepancy resolution, and simulator certifications- Provide on-site and remote support (phone, e-mail, network, etc.)- Work on own to interpret requirements and complete production projects from start to finish- Interpret and work towards project schedules- Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks- Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers- Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments- Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Preferably Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience- At least two years of experience required - Experience with the following: AC and DC Electronics, Digital Logic theory and implementation, Computer System theory, Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), serial data protocols, Microprocessor/Microcontroller theory and implementation, and circuit/system troubleshooting skills- Advanced computer skills and basic office equipment. Advanced knowledge of test equipment including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, data bus reader, signal generators, etc.
