Responsibilities Include:

- Collaborating with the Gamete and Embryo Physiology Team Lead to establish research objectives that contribute to the improvement of ART and reproductive health in support of the client bovine and porcine businesses
- Conducting experiments necessary to meet established project goals and timelines
- Gathering and placing lab orders as well as assisting in the management of the lab including cleaning, stock, inventory, and instrument maintenance
- Adhering to all laboratory protocols
- Recording and summarizing experimental data, interpreting findings, and presenting project plans and results in lab meetings
- Providing feedback and potential solutions to other researchers within and across projects by identifying problems and opportunities impacting overall goals
Required & Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Veterinary Science, or another relevant field required
- A degree in Genetics or Molecular Biology is preferred
- Experience in and knowledge of one or more laboratory, molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid and protein isolation, gene expression analysis by RT-qPCR, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry
- Experience/training in oocyte maturation, IVF, and embryo culture is preferred
- Previous experience in the collection of scientific data, statistical analysis, and generation of scientific reports including presentation is preferred
- Embryo culture experience is preferred
