Under the general supervision of the DMS-BPP Quality and Special Initiatives Manager, the Residential Home and Community-Based Service Reviewer is responsible for residential HCBS Facilities Heightened Scrutiny (HS) compliance reviews. Residential HCBS Facilities include:

- 3-4 bed Adult Family Homes (AFHs)
- Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs)
- Residential Care Apartment Complexes (RCACs)
The Residential Home and Community-Based Service Review is Responsible For the following:
- Maintain a working knowledge of all HCBS services offered at the Residential HCBS setting type
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with HCBS project team and DHS staff
- Recommend improvements to the current process based on the state’s HS remediation plan
- Track the progress of HCBS HS reviews
- Conduct onsite HS validation reviews, fact-finding, and onsite reviews of Residential HCBS settings, utilizing state-defined standards, tools, and project materials
- Provide technical assistance and problem-solve with HCBS HS settings on the various requirements
- Complete deliverables, developing work plans, schedules, and required documentation for approved HS process changes and settings-based HS reviews
- Review and validate information received from HCBS HS settings, as required
- Facilitate onsite review meetings, as requested
- Prepare and complete the required documentation of each reviewed setting
- Follow up with HCBS HS settings to ensure timelines are maintained
- Make a final determination on HCBS HS Setting compliance
- Maintain the list status list of all HS settings
Qualifications:
- Experience with the HCBS standards and requirements
- A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and OneNote
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and documentation skills
- Ability to be flexible
- Ability to learn software programs
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to correspond with all stakeholders
- Ability to navigate the Internet efficiently and effectively
