      Spherion has partnered with a local manufacturing company and we are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician. This person will conduct testing procedures to ensure products complies with quality standards. The candidate will be instrumental in assisting in creating a structure for in process checks during the manufacturing processes, providing guidance of quality defects and assisting with continuous improvement efforts.Responsibilities:-Conduct and assist in development of a variety of tests on inbound materials from vendors, in-process checks during manufacturing and outbound products for shipping-Ensure that all of the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase-Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken-Educate production team on quality control issues and work with the team to improve overall company safety and product quality-Assist in the creation and updating of process checklists-Provides training related to the quality processes used in the manufacturing process.-Conduct and oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials and products, both in process and finished-Provides hands-on leadership related to system improvement and problem solving.-Supervises the use of various instrumentation for testing-Provide feedback to team on all issues concerning product-Interpret drawings and specifications as needed-Support company safety and environmental policies-Implement product and process improvements-Maintains documentation records and data on tests performed-Recommends quality control solutions to complex problems and implements corrective actions-Perform internal audits based on established criteria and records the results.-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. The position is primarily responsible for picking, packing and shipping all outgoing Domestic and International shipments as well as receiving all incoming shipments.Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: - Prepare all outgoing shipments - Pick products for shipment from Pick List - Pack materials for shipment to arrive undamaged.
