A national craft juice company at the forefront of juice manufacturing innovation is looking for Packaging Operators to join their growing team!The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating the case packer machine in a safe and efficient manner, as well as ensuring that finished product is packed securely and accurately into corrugated cardboard boxes and or cases. Also, the Packaging Operator is responsible of applying Box Codes according to product specification, maintaining control of inventory quantities, pack, size and palletizer change overs.Responsibilities:- Monitor packing quality and security of finished product to be packed.- Keeps line flowing at peak performance.- Coordinate with bottling leads and bottling personnel on product changeovers.- Maintain a basic knowledge of forklift operations, and of all bottling room machinery and procedures.- Operates all equipment safely, maintaining proper speeds and clearances to ensure all personnel, materials, and equipment are safe at all times.- Prepares product to be shipped using FIFO methodology when necessary.- Observes packages moving along conveyor for defects, code accuracy, product specifications, and quality seal along the top and bottom of packages.- Conduct appropriate preventative maintenance activities on machinery and operate in a responsible manner that is in line with company?s SOPs.- Monitor, clean, and maintain machinery and equipment to make sure they are continuously operating correctly and efficiently.- Maintain inventory of packaging materials.- Assists in weekly and end of month label inventory process.- Able to hand pack whenever needed.- Record code dates on boxes according to product specs.- Perform Weekly Machinery Shutdowns PMs and cleaning.- Follows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standards.- Other duties as assigned or required.Working hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:- Willingness to cross-train and work with a variety of machines and equipment- Attention to detail- Ability to stand on feet for entire shift (8-12 hours)- Ability to bend, squat, lift, twist, stand without accommodation- Ability to lift up to 40lbsEducation:High SchoolExperience:0-1 yearsQualifications:- High School Diploma/GED required- 6 months of food manufacturing experience required; experience in beverage manufacturing preferred- Able to adapt to schedule changes, long and irregular hours- Ability to work in various temperatures- Ability to adhere to dress code requirements- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus 3 ways to apply!1.
