The primary job of the Buyer is to manage the purchasing function of materials and supplies to ensure purchasing at the optimal quality and price to meet operational and customer requirements. Place orders and follow up to ensure accuracy and timeliness of delivery. Responsible for delivering excellent customer service to achieve customer / vendor satisfaction. Evaluate supplier performance, conduct site visits and work closely with engineering and quality to ensure vendors are meeting requirements.

Responsibilities:
Source raw materials, manufactured products, services, and consumables as required for efficient business operation and customer demand.
Selects suppliers based on competitiveness, quality, and compatibility with our companies values
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain and to mitigate risk factors.
Maintains safety stock quantities of supplies and materials to optimize production.
Analyzes current inventories and procedures, suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company
Works with vendors and logistics to identify optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
4-year degree in Business or related field
5 + years in a professional Buyer position for a manufacturing company
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral, written and presentation) with the ability to manage technical and complex data
Working knowledge of ERP
Strong knowledge of the concepts of logistics, vendor management, price negotiation
