Responsibilities of the Senior Human Resources Manager:
- Responsible for development and leading the HR team
- Responsible for HR functions at 2 locations within a short distance of each other
- Ability to develop sound relationships with managers to fully understand business needs and deliver effective and efficient HR services
- Provides leadership, guidance and management for the Divisional Management team, plant teams which includes performance management, engagement, coaching and development
- Ensures compliance to policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal laws
- Leads the implementation of programs and standards for recruiting, retention, employee relations and performance management.
- Provides support to payroll and benefit administration
- Acts as an ambassador to assist and promote a positive culture
- Interprets and executes policies and procedures that impact the organization and communicates new or revised policies to stakeholders
- Works towards standardizing HR practices and processes over both locations
- Manages Workers Compensation system including claims filing, prevention strategies, return to work and modified duty
- Develops, coordinates, and implements workplace initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and morale
- Assesses training needs, develops, or obtains training programs and materials.
- Facilitates training for all levels of associates
- Review and mediate disciplinary investigations as required
Requirements:
- 5+ years of human resources management in a manufacturing environment
- PHR or SPHR certification a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Business Administration field preferred or equivalent work experience
- Ability to operate within budgetary and scheduling constraints
- Strong people management skills required
- Ability to work in a multi-task environment and prioritize workload
- Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, able to deal with frequent change, delays and or unexpected events
- Able to work in a team environment
- Strong business aptitude and self-motivated to work with limited supervision
- Great communication skills both verbal and written
- Attention to details is a must
- Ability to handle a large workload and work with dynamic personalities with professionalism
