Under the supervision of the Deputy Bureau Director, this position provides project management services for bureau priority initiatives and complex service projects. The Project Manager will lead and coordinate various projects aimed at reforming service delivery mechanisms statewide, improving internal employee engagement, and preparing for systems change. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including county staff and regional entities, is essential. The role includes developing project plans for initiatives with overlapping functions and discrete elements, applying systems solutions to enhance efficiency, streamline data reporting, and improve program outputs.

Responsibilities:
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to operate programs statewide
- Develop project plans for cross-cutting initiatives
- Collaborate with other Project Managers to communicate critical pathways
- Manage the project life cycle, including selection, planning, execution, and closure
- Handle consulting, documentation, communication, and risk management
- Estimate, track, measure, and report project status and resource planning
- Implement and improve standards and processes for project management
- Train and mentor department staff to enhance project management skills
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of project management principles and tools (e.g., work breakdown structures, earned value analysis)
- Familiarity with HIPAA and information systems in program operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced skills in MS Project
- Experience with risk management and third-party vendor management
- Background in quality assurance and improvement processes
- Experience managing projects in areas like organizational change, clinical policy, housing, and corrections
- Focus on equity and assisting vulnerable populations
- Fully remote position; candidates from outside Wisconsin are welcome
