This position reports directly to the General Manager and is a highly valued role driving our continued growth and success. This role is responsible for initiating the manufacturing process by using customer-supplied technical drawings to create 3D CAD models and then write CAM/CNC programs for fabrication on a fiber optic laser, brake, and punch presses.

Responsibilities:
- Program and maintain current file revisions of all client parts.
- Interpret engineering blueprints to program flat pattern layouts.
- Reverse engineer parts for manufacturing.
- Prepare detailed work instructions and set up sheets.
- Resolve any issues with customer design or documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of the work traveler before release to manufacturing.
- Help resolve production issues before/during the manufacturing process.

Working hours: 7:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Skills:
- Ability to utilize CAD/CAM software to improve production run times.
- Ability to program CNC punches and lasers for sheet metal fabrication with AP100 software.
- Effective oral and written communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Solidworks, and computerized nesting software.
- Knowledge of Machining, Painting, Sheet Metal, and Welding practices
- Experience with Paperless Parts will be viewed favorably
- Willingness to learn and be part of a growing, high-functioning team

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience with sheet metal design
- Experience and comprehension of "Sheet Metal Part Layout Process"
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and job travelers
- Proficient in precision sheet metal fabrication methods
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to grow and improve skills to accomplish set tasks and goals
