A Shift Lead Mechanic has advanced mechanical skills including working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics.) A Lead Mechanic has the ability to use precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc. They have a thorough knowledge of can and end manufacturing process, equipment, and quality specifications. A Lead Mechanic has a basic knowledge of computer systems, gauges, tools and equipment, and able to safely operate a production forklift.
Responsibilities:
Perform the essential functions and provide technical support for the Front, Back and End Line Maintainer, depending on the area of assigned responsibilities.
Assist the team leader in the smooth operation of the facility.
Operate, trouble-shoot and perform required maintenance on all plant equipment and systems as assigned by Team Leaders and/or F.E. or B.E. Coordinators.
Complete required documentation on machine maintenance and quality checks.
Assist in other areas as needed to maintain smooth can flow through the plant.
Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and machines and practice proper safety procedures.
Act as the team leader during supervisor absences to ensure that work and resources are adequately scheduled.
Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
Working hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

Qualifications:
Advanced mechanical skills (including working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics) and ability to use precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).
Thorough knowledge and understanding of can and end manufacturing process, equipment, and quality specifications.
Able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude on all can and end making equipment in the plant, depending on the primary, depending on the primary area of responsibility assigned.
Demonstrated involvement in safety and knowledge of safety regulations which apply to work functions.
Basic knowledge of computer systems, gauges, tools and equipment.
Able to safely operate a production forklift.
PAY: Night $24.99-$31.31/HR
12 HR Night Shift: 6PM-6AM, 4 on 4 off
Bi-Annual BONUSES up to 10%
