A Midland laminate cabinet manufacturer is seeking Shipping Associates to join their team! There are 1st shift (6:00am-4:30pm) and 2nd shift (4pm-2:30am) openings currently, with regular overtime once the production season is in full swing and the weather starts to warm up! Primary duties include hand-loading (with hand carts) fully assembled cabinets onto various semi trailers in a safe and efficient manner. This is a very physically demanding job requiring walking miles each day with continuous lifting, stacking, moving, and shifting of cabinets to stay on shipping schedule.Responsibilities:In a quick an efficient manner, loading cabinets onto various semi-trailers with attention to quality and size to get the most efficient fit on the trailer.Regularly lifting cabinets over head to stack them.Use of handheld scanning devices to record progress in each load. Cleaning up debris as needed and maintaining a clean and organized work space in any down time.Skills:Ability to remain on feet for extending periods with regular walking, pushing, lifting, carrying, twisting, etc.Ability to regular lift up to 50Lbs.Moving with a sense of urgency.Ability to interact well in a team setting.Qualifications:Must comply with Spherion's Drug Free Workplace Policy and disclose relevant criminal history at the time of hire.Must be able to handle physically demanding work including remaining on feet and walking constantly during the course of a 10-hour day with regular lifting (often overhead), carrying, loading, and pushing objects that are often oversized. Must be over 18 years of age.Must have reliable transportation.Do you enjoy being active throughout your day?
