Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the production of SMT; supervise and provide daily guidance to team members.
- Perform continual review of production status against goal(s), taking appropriate countermeasures as needed for goal attainment.
- Work with Production Control to plan and execute production schedules; ensures jobs are kitted and prepared in advance of production.
- Identify material shortages; communicates shortages to Production Control and Supply Chain until resolved.
- Develop and implement advanced processes and SMT methodologies; create, edit, and maintain work instructions and process documentation.
- Develop and maintain automation programming (Pick & Place equipment).
- Perform defect and failure analysis for SMT and Through-hole processes; perform root-cause analysis.
- Inspect products using X-Ray, AOI, and optical methods.
- Work with Engineering to develop manufacturing tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
- Monitor, report, and improve Inventory Accuracy; ensure material is available for production.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate employees to optimize team performance.
- Initiate & complete applicable transactions within the Epicor business system.
- Promote, train, and facilitate Lean methodologies and standard systems.
- Utilizes Lean Manufacturing techniques to minimize changeovers, reduce batch production, increase flexibility, and optimize SMT efficiency.
- Lead daily 5S activities and perform weekly 5S audits.
- Facilitate and promote improvement programs which increase efficiency and quality of products, lead Kaizen events.
- Optimizes material flow throughout facility by evaluating Value Streams and implementing layout/process improvements.
- Develop and ensure effective equipment PM schedules.
- Provide DFM feedback to Design for New Production Introduction (NPI).
- Review and Monitor ECN(s); ensure effective implementation.
- Develop annual budget for equipment and resources.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements
Knowledge & Skills:
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001.
- Proficient with various Microsoft Office Applications; Demonstrated ability to use a Business system (ERP) to complete planning and material transactions.
- Experience working in an ISO9001 regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
- Good analytical skills, possess critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills, Such as Lean manufacturing principles (5S, 5-why, Kaizen, Just-in-time, problem solving, root cause analysis, etc.).
- Proper working knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge). Successful completion of ESD Training.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized.
- Able to work overtime as required to support Manufacturing Operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (College, Trade school, or Vocational training preferred)
Required Experience
- Experience with Hanwha SMT equipment is preferred.
- Experience in the manufacturing of low-volume, high-mix PCBA's; RF product experience is preferred.
