The Sourcing Specialist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within procurement and strategic sourcing methodology fields, and relies on experience/judgment to plan and execute sourcing activities. Responsibilities:
Utilizes tools and practices such as RFx, bid analysis, and negotiations to maximize the value from expenditures. Seek new practices and methods to increase the value of services.
Procures materials, equipment, and services for maintenance, repairs and operation of the plant in the best interests of the Company. Serves as Company representative in negotiations with suppliers.
Evaluates competitive bids, and negotiates agreements that achieve best total cost of ownership for materials and services, taking into consideration metrics beyond price, such as quality, on-time delivery, value added services, etc.
Maintains awareness of current market conditions, new products, and supply sources for assigned commodities, new technologies, and methods that enhance value of purchasing process.
As required, supports buying activities by creating purchase orders and agreements. Ensures transactions are executed in seamless, managing the PO lifecycle from creation to closing.
Maintains consistent communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders. Works to resolve problems that affect company quality and delivery commitments.
Provides guidance and expertise to internal customers on topics such as supply chain policies and procedures, sourcing process, SAP, and bidding requirements.
Liaises with other procurement and legal professionals to assure that contractual terms and conditions are acceptable to minimize risk.
Identifies key purchasing criteria for each material or service being sourced. Evaluates with suppliers to determine factors that affect price and availability. Performs market analysis and utilizes standardized criteria in identification and selection of potential sources of supply.
Supports development of estimates by obtaining proposals for materials and services needed in support operations.
Receives and reviews purchase requisitions for materials and services for completeness and proper level of approval. Issues and tracks purchase commitments to ensure timely delivery and acceptable performance by suppliers.
Proficiency in total life cycle cost or other commercial analysis and process improvement methods utilized to support company initiatives.
Review suppliers for compliance with company's quality and safety criteria.

Skills:
CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration required.
Strong analytical and presentation skills
Extensive experience with SAP, Excel, Power Point, and other Microsoft Office products
Exhibits strong personal integrity and a high level of customer service
Able to act independently and be hands on with minimal supervision
Must be able to act with confidence and speed in execution
Demonstrated ability to facilitate change with a focus on continuous improvement
