A Technical Sales Representative is responsible for sales functions of companies products (metal/steel/coatings). The position entails speaking with customers, entering orders, determining the cost of specialty items (with the assistance of management), and documenting all sales calls.

Some in person customer visits may be required
Occasional overnight travel may be required
Sell products and take orders via phone
Read and interpret customer specifications and blueprint/design drawings
Provide detailed and effective proposals and quotes
Work with internal engineering department to develop project and production processes and costing
Coordinate with production to insure timely completion of projects
Timely administration of orders
Entered in system and communicated to production within same business day as receipt
Timely, effective communication with customers regarding production lead times or changes in material availability within same business day
Effective management of account needs
RMA/Credit processing
Change orders
Shipping needs/question
Prospect and develop new business opportunities/customers for all products
Minimum 20% of weekly activities to include calls, emails, and quotes
Coordinate, manage and in some cases, attend, trade shows
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
--Exceptional oral and written communication skills
--Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point & Publisher
--Ability to multi-task and self-manage
--Excellent math skills
--Attention to detail
--Analytical skills highly preferred
--Experience in manufacturing sales, technical sales, and/or construction sales preferred
--Experience in ISO Certifications, AS Certifications, and/or Nuclear projects a plus
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree Minimum five (5) years sales experience
