Generation Interconnection Analysis (GIA) - The client utilizes a regulated compliance process to analyze prospective customers' generation interconnection projects' impact on the transmission system and estimates cost associated with the interconnection. The analysis is performed by multiple departments in the company. A report is generated for each phase of the analysis. The reports must meet strict date and content regulatory requirements.

Transmission Service Request (TSR) - Similar to the GIA process, requests for transmission services follow an analogous regulated process of analysis. TSR's may be for receiving power (load request) or for transporting power using part of the client's transmission system (point-to-point).
The GI Analyst will be primarily responsible for monitoring, reporting and trending performance of projects by providing project organization, support and coordination with other functional groups to meet expected outcomes. Provide detailed analysis and report writing, editing and tracking direction relative to GIA. The Project Analyst will assist the Project Management Team to ensure results meet scope, quality, schedule and cost requirements.

BrightWork ADMINISTRATOR
BrightWork is a SharePoint project management application. BrightWork is used in multiple business areas beyond Interconnection Studies. When new GIA/TSR projects are submitted to the client, the project site is created using a template defined and maintained by the GI Analyst. The GI Analyst will perform scheduling and assignment of tasks. Scheduling is updated as required for external events and scheduled activities (e.g. phase progression, customer agreement, etc.). Communication of task assignments and deadlines is made by the GI Analyst using BrightWork and other applications. GIA/TSR Processes utilize a number of templates to capture required information. The GI Analyst maintains the project site with updated template documents as required and as the project proceeds to each phase.
