Spherion of NJ is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for a direct hire opportunity. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating pipe cleaning and inspection equipment sales, increasing revenue by negotiating with clients, generating leads, and qualifying prospects. The targeted customer base includes government agencies, local municipalities, and contractors in the NJ/NY region. As an Outside Sales Representative you will be responsible for offering the best possible customer experience, as well as providing the hands-on explanations of products.

Establish new accounts by organizing and planning daily work schedules to build on existing or potential sales in the assigned territory.
Study the type of sales outlet and adjust content of sales presentations
Make and submit orders by referring to product literature and price lists
Investigate problems; develop solutions and make recommendations to management in order to resolve customer complaints.
Contribute to team efforts in accomplishing organizational goals.
Provide operational and mechanical training for end users.
Provide accurate and on time quotes.
Provide walk around and demonstrations of production line utilization.
Other duties may be assigned
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
HS diploma or equivalent, with higher education degree preferred
3-5 years of outside sales experience or sales experience in a similar position
Ability to participate in training as required, with potential overnight travel required for training
Attend trade shows which may be in another state
Valid driver's license and a good driving record (CDL a plus)
Highly motivated with a positive attitude
