Local paper product manufacturing company is looking for hard working production workers who are comfortable standing for long 12 hours shifts.
Rotating Shifts: 7am to 7pm for two weeks
1st week 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on
2nd week 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off
Then - Night Shift - 7pm to 7am for two weeks
...
1st week - 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on
2nd week - 2days off, 2 days on, 3 days off
Responsibilities:
-Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Monitor soft and hard wood chest levels and determine pulper needs via digital readout. Remain aware of paper breaks in
-Later processes that may feed paper back into chest and influence chest levels.
-Operate forklift to move raw materials from storage to pulper.
-Feed pulper in accordance with the furnish requirements, including the designated amount and type of soft and hard pulp, secondary fiber, and pulp substitute.
-Cut wires from pulp and prepare it for the pulper, place pulp on conveyor and activate. Activate and monitor pulper.
-Assist machine crew as necessary.
-Assist with housekeeping duties; maintain the organization and cleanliness of the facility.
-Observe and comply with proper safety procedures at all times.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
-Good Communication skills and ability to read, speak, write English (bilingual)
-Quick learner and ability to work under minimal supervision
-At least 6 months of experience on a sitdown forklift
-Excellent hand-eye coordination
-Attention to detail
-Good organizational skills
Education:
High School
Experience:
0-1 years
Qualifications:
-Six (6) to twelve (12) months experience in a manufacturing environment
-Must be able to work a 12hr rotational shift rotating days to nights
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
-Must be able to lift 50+ lbs consistently
-Must be comfortable in warm or not controlled temperature warehouses
