Spherion is currently recruiting for a fully remote, temporary Management Nurse-Post Acute. Our client, a regional insurance and healthcare network focused on helping patients make the most of their coverage, is seeking professional, detail-oriented individuals to join their team! As a Management Nurse-Post Acute you will be responsible for reviewing and documenting prior authorization and concurrent stay requests along with member case history in compliance with policies and procedures, clinical criteria (MCG) and member coverage. Utilization review activities require interfacing with members, providers, facilities, medical directors, intake staff, case managers and other departments internally within the company.

- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm CST
- Must reside in the State of WI or MN**
Responsibilities:
- This role requires attention to detail and use of clinical judgment to determine medical necessity of post-acute stays including skilled nursing facility, acute inpatient rehabilitation and long term acute care hospital.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelors degree in nursing
- 3-5+ years clinical experience
- Previous utilization management experience
- Previous discharge planning experience
- TEAMS experience
- Active, unrestricted RN license required
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated clinical assessment skills with the ability to think critically and make evidence-based decisions
- Self-motivated, autonomous worker with the ability to work independently but also collaboratively within a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
- Technology-savvy; ability to work within multiple computer applications
Work Arrangement:
- This position is a Remote role.
- To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have a primary home address located within the state of Wisconsin or Minnesota.
