We have a DIRECT HIRE OPPORRTUNITY - Spherion, in Partnership with ALUMACRAFT is looking for experienced MIG/TIG welders working with aluminium for their brand new 2nd shift. We have an amazing opportunity to build and expand on your welding experience! Our client is adding a new product line to their manufacturing facility and they are in need of skilled welders for both temp-to-hire and direct hire opportunities! These positions offer 2nd shift hours; Mon-Thursday from 5PM-3:30AM + OT.Pay rates are dependent upon experience and skillset and there is opportunity for substantial increases based on performance, growth and attendance during your first year of employment -- not only that, their benefits are amazing! What a great opportunity!Responsibilities:- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.- Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material- Examine product for defects and measure to ensure conformance with specifications.- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly- Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, etc- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, etc.- Fill holes, and increase the size of metal parts.Working hours: 5:00 PM - 3:00 PMSkills:Ability to read and interpret work instructions and printsMeasuring and reading tolerancesEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:High School Diploma6+ months of MIG & TIG welding experienceAluminum welding experience preferred DON'T WAIT, APPLY TODAY!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
