A Welder is responsible for the success of a specific project from start to finish. The majority of projects at Steel-Pro Inc are ASME Code Stamped pressure vessels. You will be required to follow all Steel-Pro generated drawing packages as well as customer supplied drawing packages all while following the Steel-Pro Quality Management System. The end result of your work will be a high quality fabrication that meets project drawings, specifications, and maintains project budget. This fabricator will report directly to the Shop Foreman for project allocation and direction.
Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
Working hours: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Education & Experience:
Maintain a safe work environment by meeting and exceeding all OSHA and Steel-Pro specific, safety policies.
Understand and read shop fabrication drawings and be able to successfully interpret weld symbols and sizes
Basic ability to read and interpret fabrication tools including tape measure, level, angle finder, micrometer, and similar tools.
Basic math skills including, but not limited to decimals, and fractions.
Successfully use the many welding tools available at the Steel-Pro facility, various welding machines, grinders, polishing tools and oxy fuel/plasma torches.
Must have the ability to weld and ability to pass ASME Section IX welding tests in a variety of materials
Collaborate with fabricator and shop supervisor to weld and fabricate pressure vessels that will satisfy the customer's needs and expectations
Ability and drive to meet or exceed project budget by effectively performing welding portion of project to be delivered on time, and under hours.
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time in order to efficiently complete projects.
Three (3) plus years' experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance required.
One(1) year skilled trade and welding experience

No Degree Required

-Strong oral and communication skills
