Candidates in this role, will use jigs/holding fixtures to lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders. Then use manual/semi-automatic/automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials. The Welder also inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and performs minor maintenance to equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Complete final welds and/or multi-pass welds
- Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Maintain and complete all required records
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
- Other job duties as assigned

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Skills:
-Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
-Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc- as required
-Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-2+ years of welding experience preferred
-Pass 3G Weld Test
-Flux Core experience
-Follow all safety rules and practices
-The ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendance
-A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
