responsible for assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. The duties include reviewing blueprints, cutting metal into the appropriate shape and smoothing molten metal to remove creases.
Use brazing torch to braze copper to copper, brass, aluminum or other dissimilar metals.
Read and comprehend work orders and blueprints; identify part numbers.
Braze coil assemblies/packages in accordance with defined standards; ensure product quality meets established standards.
Cut metal piping to specified lengths.
Preform checks to ensure brazing equipment is in safe and working order; report discrepancies to department leadership.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Experience with soldering or welding.
Experience with/working knowledge of refrigerated display cases or HVAC systems.
Manufacturing, testing or other hands on experience with refrigeration equipment.
Education:
High School
Experience:
0-1 years
Qualifications:
HS Diploma/GED.
Minimum of six months experience brazing or technical certification in brazing.
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure (including whole numbers, fractions and decimals).
