The Quality Control ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. This position is responsible for checking in-process part quality. The individual will check the parts for poor welding along with dimensional checks. The dimensions are checked by mounting the part into a fixture, setting pins, and reading micrometer style anvils for accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Checking in-process part quality
Check the parts for poor welding along with dimensional checks
Some of the Quality Inspectors may be require to preform cutting, polishing, and evaluation of the welds as well.*
Sets up and operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
Studies work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed.
Selects, places, and secures tools.
Places and secures workpieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
Prepares fixtures and feeding devices, starts machine, and engages feed.
Observes each machine to verify quality performance.
Sets and adjusts necessary controls to regulate machines.
Keep Pipe box area clean and arranged
Report to team leader when the last box for items is opened.
Carry CKD/Pipe products to production line and stock on the designated area.
Checking parts from each cell
Responding to issues found in-process
Daily NG (No Good) allocation and record keeping
Daily check sheet record keeping
All other duties as assigned
Working hours: 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM
Skills:
High Level of Attention to detail
Ability to follow written instructions.
Ability to read drawings/blueprints.
Must be able to understand English (bi-lingual is a plus)
Ability to determine whether parts are acceptable based on customer specifications
Thorough understanding of production work.
Ability to follow written instructions, and diagrams.
Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates.
Education:
High School
Experience:
0-1 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school diploma highly preferred.
At least one year of experience in a warehouse is preferred.
