About Spherion

Our workforce solutions focus on temporary staffing, temp-to-hire, on-premise staff management and outsourced talent acquisition. While we specialize in light industrial, administrative & clerical, and professional IT placements, our team has the connections and insights needed to find the most capable employees for any company.

The average Spherion franchise owner generated more than $7.4 million in revenue and $1.6 million in gross margin in 2022.* Spherion owners benefit from the stability of protected, exclusive territories.

Spherion franchise owners enjoy a wide variety of responsibilities and daily activities. Our local office franchisees are typically the sales and client relationship drivers. They spend much of their time out of the office seeing prospects, visiting clients, touring customer worksites, and networking within the business community. They oversee their staff whose primary role is to recruit, screen, interview and match suitable candidates with employer clients. As small business owners, franchisees manage their financial information while projecting growth and resolving issues.

Market & Competition

Georgia enjoys a strong and stable economy that is less affected by weather events or tourism than its neighbors to the south and east. At 3.2%, the state boasts one of the U.S.'s lowest unemployment rates. Georgia is home to 5.3 million workers whose median age is 36.9 - younger than the U.S. median age of 38.2. Anchored by the metro Atlanta area, Georgia ranked 7th in the country in 2020-21 for net domestic migration. The state’s leading specialized skills workers include avionics technicians, aircraft assemblers, tire builders, cooling and freezing equipment operators, and food scientists. In the 2019-2020 academic year, colleges and universities located within 250 miles of Atlanta produced 200,000 new graduates.

While competition exists in north Georgia's staffing market, most staffing firms maintain single-digit market shares, leaving ample opportunity for a new Spherion franchise to establish strong client relationships. Staffing vendors play a critical role in supporting local businesses, with most companies utilizing multiple staffing suppliers to meet their workforce needs.

Staffing Industry Analysts predicts the US staffing industry (excluding nurse staffing segments) will reach $184.6 billion in 2024, with some industry segments seeing modest, single-digit growth. Spherion expects employers' stable demand for flexibility and scalability to continue fueling demand for our services. Robust candidate-client relationships and exceptional service backed by the resources of the world's largest talent company allow Spherion to cater to the ever-changing demands of America’s workforce.
