-Work with Department Managers and Manufacturing Engineers on developing and qualifying new methods to continually improve our production-Report on findings during the evaluation process and suggest alternatives-Create fixtures and testing apparatus for Department Managers and Manufacturingproduction equipment upkeep and repair-Respond quickly to requests to repair equipment malfunctions-Trouble shoot system faults (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic), repair and re-qualify equipment or processes-Document repairs into computer system-Perform daily preventive maintenance on production equipment, utilizing establishedprocedures and schedules-Troubleshoot system faults that become evident through preventive maintenance procedures-Collaborate with others assigned to perform preventive maintenance-Work closely with Manufacturing Engineer and shift Foreman to monitor equipment for proper functioning-Utilize existing preventive maintenance procedures to avoid equipment down time-Look for ways to improve preventive maintenance procedures and processes-Audit equipment records for proper prints, back up stock, and manual and troubleshooting instructions-Fabricate metal components using the mill, lathe, and other shop equipment for standard, repetitive, or medium complexity items-Fabricate wood jigs and miscellaneous items using wood crafting equipment, as assigned-Inspect and maintain rail system for safe and proper operation-Modify existing system as directed; assist in installation of new systems-Maintain proper back-up stock
