Spherion Staffing is currently interviewing for an Operator Technician who will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, including the centrifuges, dryers, RTO, DDGS receiving system, and grain handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, including the centrifuges, dryers, RTO, DDGS receiving system, and grain handling equipment.
- Provide support to all plant departments as needed during each shift with a primary focus on plant operations.
- Manage specialized work efficiently with confidence and competence.
- Employees can advance to a higher operator level based on completing company training programs.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Skills:
-Certificate in process or power plant technology
-Previous experience in ethanol production
-Previous experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Experience performing maintenance or mechanical duties
-Grain handling experience
-Knowledge and/or experience reading Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs)
-Knowledge and/or experience with Distributed Control System (DCS)
-Experience adhering strictly to regulatory and safety standards
-Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
-Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Valid driver's license
-Ability to work as needed which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
-Work schedule will vary depending on the shift assigned which will include 12-hour shifts. Must have the flexibility
-Must live within a one (1) hour drive time of the plant location
