- On-Site Repairs: Respond promptly to service calls and travel to designated locations to perform on-the-spot repairs and maintenance on diesel vehicles, including trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty equipment.- Diagnosis: Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify mechanical issues, troubleshoot problems, and determine the appropriate course of action for repairs.- Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and fluid checks, to ensure the proper functioning of diesel engines and related components.- Repair Services: Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering mechanisms, electrical systems, and other components following manufacturer specifications and industry standards.- Parts Replacement: Replace worn or damaged parts, including belts, hoses, gaskets, bearings, and seals, with high-quality components to restore vehicle performance and reliability.- Welding and Fabrication: Utilize welding equipment and fabrication skills to repair structural damage, fabricate custom parts, and reinforce vehicle components as needed.- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring the safety of yourself, team members, and clients at all times.- Documentation: Accurately document all repair and maintenance tasks performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings, to maintain comprehensive service records and facilitate billing processes.- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and communication skills when interacting with clients, explaining repair procedures, addressing concerns, and offering recommendations for preventive maintenance.- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and service vehicles in proper working condition, performing regular inspections and arranging for repairs or replacements as needed.

- Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of diesel engine systems, mechanical diagnostics, and repair techniques. Experience with various diesel engine brands and models preferred.- Certifications: Certification from a recognized technical school or vocational program in diesel mechanics or related field. ASE certification is a plus.- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a roadside assistance or fleet maintenance environment.- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical issues under pressure.- Physical Fitness: Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and stamina.- Driving Record: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel to various locations as needed.- Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication skills, professionalism, and a customer-oriented approach to providing service.- Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation schedule.
