How much do you charge for your services?
Fees vary based on the location and type of staffing solution you choose. For flexible staffing arrangements, costs are based on a candidate’s hourly rate plus a mark-up. What’s involved in your talent selection process?

This includes prescreening, hard and soft skill assessments, behavioral interviews, and reference checks. Upon request, we can also conduct drug-screening, background checks, and credit checks.
Do you take care of payroll and taxes for flexible employees?

What is the process for timecard approval?
For most of our offices, employee timecards are completed, approved, and submitted electronically through Spherion Webtime, offering clients time savings, visibility, and control over hours worked. In some cases, offices utilize alternate systems. Please consult your local office for more information.
Do you comply with the Affordable Care Act?
Yes, based on specific hours worked, flexible employees are given options for healthcare coverage per Affordable Care Act guidelines.
Are candidates offered benefits with their employment?
Spherion offers a full menu of benefits to qualifying employees, based on assignment and hours.
If I hire a flexible employee and decide I would like to keep them on permanently, how does that process work?
Contact your Spherion representative and let them know of your interests. They will present the opportunity to the candidate. If the candidate is in agreement, the status of their assignment would change from flexible to permanent and the contractual paperwork would need to be completed.
If an employee gets hurt on the job, is that our responsibility or yours?
Spherion handles worker’s compensation claims associated with employee injuries during scheduled work hours.
If I am unsatisfied with a candidate’s performance, what will you do?
Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are not satisfied with a candidate we place, contact your Spherion representative immediately, and we will work diligently to provide a qualified replacement—at no additional cost to you.
What type of workforce solutions do you offer for large-scale staffing needs?
Spherion offers several staffing solutions for large-scale needs, including on-site workforce solutions, managed staffing and customized outsourced solutions. We also have several national recruiting centers equipped to fill a high volume of positions quickly for one or more client locations.

What is your process for permanent placement?
You can reach out to your nearest Spherion office by phone or in-person to make this request, or you can submit an order for direct hire via the online form for the office location nearest to you. A Spherion representative will contact you to discuss your needs, timelines, budget, and hiring contract.
