How do I apply for jobs I like?
It’s easy! Start by searching for a job near you on our main online job board. Once you find a role you want to apply for, click the "Apply Now" button on any job listing and complete our easy online application. After you submit your application, a local recruiter will reach out to your with more details and next steps.
If you have questions first, most job postings also list a phone number for a local recruiter. Feel free to give us a call! You can also find the phone number for your closest office through our online office directory.

Do I need a resume?
Having a resume is a great way to show off your skills, and it helps our recruiters find you a job faster. But don't worry if you don't have one yet! We still want you to apply. Check out our advice for how to update your resume. In addition, our team is here to help you get started and put you in the best position to get hired.

Do you charge a fee for your services?
No, we never charge you a fee. Our goal is to help you find a great job, and our services are always free for job seekers.

Can I get an alert when a new job is posted?
Absolutely! You can sign up for Job Alerts so you are the first to hear about new openings. You can even choose what kind of jobs you want to hear about and how often we message you.

Who is my employer: Spherion or the company where I work?
When you start a flexible or temp-to-hire job, Spherion is your employer. We handle your pay and support you. If the job becomes permanent, the company where you work will become your new employer. For "direct hire" jobs, that company is your employer from day one.
Pay and Benefits

How do I submit my work hours?
How you log your work hours varies by job and client. To get paid on time, be sure to submit your time in one of these ways that your supervisor will explain:
- Electronic time capture via Spherion Network
- Time clock atyour workplace, or
- A paper timesheet (in a few offices).
Your Spherion representative will provide you with guidelines for the time-entry process. Be sure to submit your time by the end of your last day worked for each week.

When and how do I get paid?
You get paid every Friday! As long as your timecard is turned in by 10 am on Monday, your money will be ready. You can have your pay sent straight to your bank account (Direct Deposit) or put onto a pay card.
Paper checks may also be an option in specific states. Your Spherion representative will provide you with more details so that you can decide which pay option is right for you.

If I have a problem or question concerning my pay, who do I talk to?
Contact your local Spherion office for any questions or concerns regarding your pay.

Am I eligible for benefits like insurance?
Yes! Spherion offers many benefits to help you and your family stay healthy. Eligibility and scope of benefits depend upon the type of position, hours worked, and location. Since every job is a little different, your recruiter will explain exactly what options you have before you start your new position.

Who do I go to for questions or issues concerning my assignment?
Please direct any questions or concerns pertaining to your job assignment to your Spherion representative.

What should I do if I'm going to be late to work?
We understand that things happen! If you’re running late, please call your Spherion representative right away. We will let the company know so they aren't worried.

What if I'm unable to go to work one day? What should I do?
If you are unable to make it into work due to an illness or emergency, contact your Spherion representative before your shift starts. This helps us find someone else to over for your so the work gests done.
If you are out multiple days, you will need to contact your Spherion recruiter each day before your scheduled work hours to let them know. If your absence is due to being sick for more than three days, we may ask you to bring a doctor’s note explaining your illness and limitations - or clearing you fully for work - when you return.
Please note, communication is key! If you fail to notify your recruiter or supervisor about an absence, that may be grounds for dismissal or considered a voluntary resignation.

What should I do if I get hurt at work?
Your safety is our top goal. If you get hurt, tell your supervisor and your Spherion representative immediately. We will help you get the medical care you need and help you fill out the right paperwork. It's important that you contact Spherion before receiving medical treatment (besides in an emergency) so that we can help you ensure all treatment will be covered.

We are here for you! If you have any questions or concerns about your assignment, just reach out to your Spherion representative. We want you to be happy and successful in your role.

I applied for a job but didn't hear back. What should I do next?
Don't give up! We help a lot of people find work, so we can’t always call everyone back right away. If you’re a great fit for an interview, we will be in touch. In the meantime, we encourage all candidates to reach out to their local office weekly to see if there are other jobs that match your skills. You won't be imposing by checking in frequently - our recruiters want to keep in touch with you!

What kind of training do you offer?
We want to help you grow your career! Spherion offers many online classes to help you learn new skills. Ask your recruiter what training is available to help you get your next big promotion.

Can my assignment be extended?
Yes, in many cases it's possible to extend your assignment. Job extensions or promotions depend upon the employer's needs. If you like your assignment and it is coming to an end, let your Spherion recruiter know and we will ask our client about the possibility of an extension. If the employer must end your assignment, your recruiter will look for similra roles for you.

If I like my assignment, can I go permanent?
Yes! Many of our jobs are "temp-to-hire." This means you can start as a flexible worker and later join the company's full-time team. Each company has its own rules for when this happens. If you love your work and want to stay, tell your Spherion representative! We will talk to the company for you and help you go after that goal.
