Spherion is seeking a Tip Assembler to join a manufacturing team. This position involves hands-on assembly, inspection, and quality support using specialized fixtures, tools, and semi-automated equipment. Training is provided.
Responsibilities:
Assemble small components using fixtures, jigs, and hand tools.

Place cannulas into plastic hubs, apply epoxy, and use UV light for curing.
Perform secondary operations including bending, cutting, and tip guarding.
Inspect finished assemblies using gauges and measurement instruments.
Perform sorting and quality inspection, including 100% inspection when required.
Identify and separate defective or nonconforming parts.
Complete production quantities according to work orders and production schedules.
Weigh parts and accurately record counts and production information.
Operate semi-automated tip assembly equipment after training.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Cross-train on additional equipment and production tasks as needed.
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience.
Experience working with assembly tools, fixtures, or inspection equipment.
Previous quality inspection or sorting experience.
Experience working in a production environment.
Education:
High School

1-4 years
Qualifications:
Ability to work with small parts and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for work and safety requirements.
Basic computer skills.
Basic mechanical ability.
Ability to learn and operate semi-automated equipment.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
