Spherion Staffing is seeking a dependable and motivated Lead Custodian/Grounds/Maintenance professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Elk Creek, CA. In this role, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by overseeing custodial services, groundskeeping, and light maintenance. This position features a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts and offers a pay rate of $19.00 - $21.00 an hour.

Responsibilities:
Perform daily custodial tasks such as sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms.
Execute general grounds maintenance, including raking leaves, weeding, watering, pruning, and operating mowers and weed eaters.
Handle light maintenance duties such as washing windows, completing minor non-furniture repairs, and painting.
Manage scheduling, oversee inventories, and order materials and supplies.
Move and arrange furniture and equipment for special events or meetings.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Skills:
Previous custodial, grounds, maintenance, or related experience.
Knowledge of modern cleaning methods, disinfectants, and floor preservation techniques.
Completion of a recognized job training program in a related field.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
Ability to work independently while safely leading others.
Understanding of basic hand tools and how to use them for minor maintenance.
Ability to quickly learn schedules, operating procedures, and successfully carry out oral and written instructions.
