A client of Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a skilled Technical Customer Support Specialist to join their medical division support team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently while diagnosing and resolving technical problems in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Respond to phone calls and emails from field engineers, technicians, and product support staff regarding equipment and software malfunctions.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for complex technical issues where first-level support has been unable to resolve the problem.
Use Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to document and report issues, track cases, and maintain accurate service records.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to escalate or replicate issues as needed.
Provide customer training and technical guidance on equipment functionality and operation.
Support customers on products that are highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and training at the local depot as required.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of service processes and customer satisfaction.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent technical training and experience.
3+ years of experience in technical support, equipment servicing, or a related role.
Strong understanding of troubleshooting procedures for mechanical and/or software systems.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM systems preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and sound judgment.
Familiarity with medical, electronic, or manufacturing equipment a plus.
