What You'll Do

• Load programs into CNC turret lathes and set up/operate up to two numerically controlled horizontal turret lathes simultaneously.
• Read and interpret process sheets and blueprints to determine correct dimensions, tolerances, cutting speeds, and feed rates.
• Monitor machine operations and numerical control displays, overriding controls or making adjustments as needed to correct performance.
• Perform regular quality checks on finished workpieces using micrometers, calipers, and fixed gauges to verify strict conformance to prints.
• Manage tooling and machinery by detecting malfunctions, maintaining adequate coolant flow, and remedying excessive tool wear.
• Keep accurate production records and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least 6 months of commercial, vocational, or specialized technical training.
• 3 to 4 years of related CNC machining and lathe setup/operation experience.
• Proven ability to read process sheets, engineering blueprints, and control panel displays; proficient in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Good manual dexterity with a focus on speed and accuracy throughout the shift; comfort working around industrial machinery.
• Strong commitment to shop safety rules, neatness, and high-precision manufacturing standards.
