Turn Ingredients Into Delicious Finished Products

Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring Food Production Mixers for a growing food manufacturing operation in Sandusky.

This isn't simply a packaging position. You'll work at the beginning of the production process, measuring and combining ingredients according to established recipes and batch sheets to create consistent finished batches for production.

If you're dependable, comfortable with basic math and measurements, and can follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great opportunity to build food-production experience.

Available Shifts

1st Shift: Hours may vary between 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
2nd Shift: Hours may vary between 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Pay: $16 /hour + attendance bonus opportunities

What You'll Do

• Measure and combine dry, liquid, and refrigerated ingredients
• Follow recipes, formulas, and batch sheets to prepare production batches
• Verify ingredients and quantities before mixing
• Maintain consistency and accuracy from batch to batch
• Complete required production and batch documentation
• Follow established food-safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Monitor ingredients and finished mixtures for quality
• Keep ingredients, equipment, and work areas organized
• Maintain a clean and safe production environment
• Work with production team members to keep batches moving on schedule

What We're Looking For

• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and follow recipes, batch sheets, and written work instructions
• Comfortable working with measured quantities and multiple ingredients
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous food production, bakery, manufacturing, mixing, batching, or machine-operation experience is a plus
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance when needed
