• Loading and Unloading: Operating forklifts and other specialized equipment to load and unload materials from trailers, shipping containers, delivery trucks, or storage racks.
• Material Movement: Moving packed goods, pallets, crates, and oversized items around the facility to their designated storage areas or production lines.
• Inventory Control: Scanning barcodes, checking manifests, and logging incoming or outgoing shipments to ensure order accuracy and inventory tracking.
• Pre-Operation Inspections: Performing daily safety checks on the machinery (e.g., checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and hydraulic systems) before starting a shift.
• Stacking and Organizing: Ensuring goods are stacked safely, securely, and in accordance with the facility's organizational layout to maximize space and prevent damage.
• Adhering to Safety Protocols: strictly following OSHA guidelines, wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintaining awareness of pedestrians and surrounding hazards.
