Spherion Gainesville, FL seeks an Industrial Mechanical Technician with expertise in Rotary Head equipment and Pipe Fitting for a manufacturing facility in Alachua, FL.
Schedule: 6:30am - 3pm
Pay Rate: $20-25/hr

Responsibilities:
- Precision Assembly: Build Rotary Head gearboxes per specs using specialized tools.

- Component Installation: Use controlled heating/pressing to install gears, bearings, and shafts for proper fit.
- Tolerance Application: Apply slip fit and press fit tolerances for precise mechanical performance.
- Technical Interpretation: Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate assembly and troubleshooting.
- Quality Control: Conduct rigorous inspections and measurements to maintain tolerances and component integrity.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during assembly/testing with minimal supervision.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements.
- Tool Maintenance: Properly maintain and calibrate tools and equipment.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, company policies, and regulations.
Working hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Highschool Degree
- Expertise in heating/freezing components for press-fit assembly.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
- Proven experience in precision assembly of gearboxes, transmissions, or similar mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, tolerances, and quality assurance.
