Spherion is currently hiring a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join one of our customer's in Dayton team!
This is a hands-on role that blends physical labor with high-stakes data accuracy. You will be responsible for the movement of parts across the shop floor and the precise documentation of our Device History Records (DHR).

Day Shift: 7AM - 5:30PM * Monday - Friday (47.68 hour work week)
*Friday's are early release at 3:30pm!
Pay: $18-22/hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:
DHR Management: Serve as the primary lead for the Device History Record (DHR), ensuring every part and process is documented with 100% accuracy.
Physical Part Flow: Manually move, stock, and organize parts across the machine shop floor and into the clean room environment.
MRP System Ownership: Perform all digital transactions in the MRP system to ensure the virtual inventory perfectly matches the physical stock.
Transactional Accuracy: Verify part codes and quantities during transfers to eliminate errors in the production cycle.
Hands-On Assembly: Assist in "building" parts and kitting components for production as needed.
Inventory Control: Maintain a highly organized stocking area, performing cycle counts and monitoring part levels.
Quality Paperwork: Complete technical documentation and administrative tasks with a focus on precision and compliance.
Cross-Functional Support: Coordinate with production teams to ensure the right parts are available at the right time for assembly.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Skills:
MRP Experience: Previous experience using Material Requirements Planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or JobBOSS) to track inventory.
DHR Knowledge: Familiarity with Device History Records or working within a regulated industry (medical, aerospace, or automotive) where documentation is critical.
Mechanical Aptitude: A natural "handiness" and comfort working in a Machine Shop environment or around industrial equipment.
Industry Transitions: Experience in high-volume part environments such as Auto Parts, Lumber Yards, or Roofing/Construction supply.
Administrative Precision: Experience as an HVAC Office Admin or similar role that requires managing complex schedules, parts, and paperwork.
Transactional Accuracy: A proven track record of data entry or inventory counting where 100% accuracy was required.
Clean Room Familiarity: Basic understanding of clean room protocols (gowning, contamination control, and organized workflows).
Strong Computer Literacy: Ability to navigate spreadsheets and digital databases quickly and accurately.
Adaptive Attitude: Someone with the willingness to learn specialized systems in a high-training environment.

Transactional Accuracy: A proven ability to process data, part codes, and numbers with 100% precision. You must be someone who naturally double-checks your work.
Documentation Focus: The ability to take full ownership of the Device History Record (DHR). This requires extreme attention to detail and a commitment to "paperwork perfection."
Inventory Control: Previous experience (or a strong foundational understanding) in stocking, kitting, and managing physical inventory levels.
Physical Aptitude: Ability to work on your feet in a machine shop and clean room environment, including the physical strength to move and transfer parts.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency with basic computer functions and the ability to learn complex MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software quickly.
