Responsibilities:
-Accurate Order Picking: Follow specific instructions on work orders to identify and pull the correct items from warehouse shelving with high precision.
-Equipment Operation: Safely operate a lift truck or forklift to transport heavy materials, reels, or palletized freight to designated areas.
-Freight Loading & Unloading: Efficiently load and unload flatbeds or box trucks, managing various load types while ensuring proper securement.
-Operational Efficiency: Optimize workflows to eliminate wasteful actions and minimize carrier detention time to support company profitability.
-Safety & Compliance: Maintain a strict adherence to safety protocols, conducting daily equipment inspections to ensure an incident-free environment.
-Inventory Tracking: Use tools such as RF scanners or digital systems to track inventory and document findings accurately on job-specific paperwork.
-Quality Control: Perform visual inspections of incoming and outgoing freight to ensure all products meet specifications before movement.
-Facility Maintenance: Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure the cross-dock and warehouse floors remain clean and safe for the team.
