The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery, with a primary focus on the press brake machine, to bend and form metal components according to precise specifications. This role requires the ability to read complex blueprints, perform accurate machine setups (including tooling), and ensure the final product meets high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
Set up and operate press brake machines (CNC or manual) to bend, form, and shape sheet metal plates and sheets as specified by blueprints and work orders.
Select, install, and adjust the appropriate punches and dies (tooling) to achieve the required bend angles and dimensions.
Read and accurately interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine bend sequences, dimensions, and tolerances.
Perform routine machine adjustments to maintain quality, including modifying program parameters on CNC press brakes.
Conduct first piece and in-process quality control checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, protractors, gauges) to ensure parts are within tolerance.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime and report complex issues to maintenance staff.
Follow all safety protocols (including Lockout/Tagout procedures and proper material handling) and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Accurately record production data, machine performance, and quality results.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Experience operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Press Brakes and performing basic programming/editing.
Technical certification or vocational training in machining, metal fabrication, or a related field.
Familiarity with various metal materials (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel, high-strength steel) and their properties related to bending.
Experience with advanced bending techniques (e.g., hemming, step bending).
Forklift certification or experience operating overhead cranes for material handling.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, including understanding bend allowances and tolerance requirements.
Proficiency in setting up and operating production machinery, specifically press brake equipment.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for measurement and calculation of dimensions and angles.
Proficiency in using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measure, gauges).
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to $50$ pounds, and work in a typical factory setting.
