Compensation & Schedule
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Shift Availability: Must be available to work either shift:
Day Shift: Monday to Saturday, 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Night Shift: Monday to Saturday, 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM
Responsibilities:
Your primary mission is to ensure the tile machine runs safely and efficiently while producing top-tier products.
- Perform full setup, monitor liquid gauges, and adjust settings for color or profile changes.
- Visually inspect tiles for correct color, thickness, and surface quality; ensure molds are clean and properly oiled.
- Implement strict lockout procedures before any cleaning or maintenance. Monitor equipment for potential mechanical issues and notify supervisors of repairs needed.
- Bring raw materials to the hopper, monitor for build-up, and manage the recycling of reject materials.
- Thoroughly clean the hopper, mixing conveyor, and workstation; complete all quality control and downtime documentation.
Working hours: 4:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
- Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing or concrete production environment.
- Great mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machine issues during "downtime".
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with QA, mechanics, and supervisors.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Full knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and a commitment to wearing all required PPE (hard hat, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses).
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Capability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (e.g., cement bags) and frequently pull 20 to 30 lbs.
- Ability to read production schedules, complete quality check sheets, and perceive auditory alarms above ambient noise.
Work Environment
This role operates in an indoor facility that is not air-conditioned or heated. The environment is loud, involves heavy machinery, and may be dusty with cement and sand mix.
